A group of people gathered, this Monday the 23rd, on the site of the old prison in Pamplona. The reason was the 85th anniversary of the Valcaldera shootings, in Cadreita. On August 23, 1936, 53 people were sent Pamplona to Valcaldera to be murdered after, cynically, they had been granted freedom in the Pamplona prison. Only one managed to escape alive, Honorino Arteta. At the event it was also remembered that the human remains of these 52 republicans are still at unknown whereabouts.

On August 23, 1936, 53 people were sent from Pamplona to Valcaldera to be murdered after they had been cynically released from the Pamplona jail.

Only one managed to escape alive, Honorino Arteta.

In the act it was also recalled that the human remains of these 52 Republicans are still unaccounted
